# The navigation menu

> An overview of the main navigation in the TruRisk Risk Engineer portal.

The TruRisk Risk Engineer portal uses a fixed sidebar on the left side of the screen for primary navigation, and a top bar that shows your current location on the platform (breadcrumbs) and provides access to search and your profile.

## Sidebar

The sidebar is always visible and provides one-click access to each main section of the platform:

| Section              | Description                                                                                                                                         |
| -------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Home**             | Dashboard with an overview of surveys in progress, recent recommendations, clients by score, recently visited clients, and recently updated surveys |
| **Clients**          | Full list of client records, with filters and the option to add or import clients                                                                   |
| **Surveys**          | List of all surveys across all clients                                                                                                              |
| **Recs**             | List of all recommendations across all clients and surveys                                                                                          |
| **Activity Library** | Templates used for scheduling and managing activities                                                                                               |
| **Change Log**       | A full audit trail of changes made across the platform                                                                                              |
| **Teams**            | Manage teams and their members (admin only)                                                                                                         |
| **Users**            | Manage user accounts and roles (admin only)                                                                                                         |

## Top bar

The top bar runs across the top of every page and contains:

* **Breadcrumb trail** — shows your current location in the platform (e.g. Clients → Hartmann Industrial GmbH → Dortmund Main Plant). Each segment is a clickable link so you can quickly navigate back up the hierarchy.
* **Search** — a global search bar for finding records across the platform by name.
* **User menu** — your name and avatar appear in the top-right corner - click here to change your personal preferences or logout.
